Rathin and his team’s research on spatiotemporal analysis of interictal EEG for automated seizure detection and classification was published in Biomedical Signal Processing and Control.

The research aims to differentiate the EEG of normal subjects from epileptic EEGs. Additionally, the developed algorithm attempts to identify the types of seizures, thus helping neurologists to efficiently and quickly screen and diagnose seizures.

This work was done in collaboration with Dr. Latika Mohan, Dr. Megha Agrawal from AIIMS Rishikesh, and Dr. Mahesh Jayachandra from IISc. IISc highlighted this work in a press release, and it was also covered in various newspapers.
