Arjun B S showcased the work on designing patient-specific continuum robots using additive manufacturing and parametric modeling techniques at the IEEE-EMBS International Conference on Body Sensor Networks: Sensor and Systems for Digital Health (IEEE BSN 2023) held at MIT Media Lab in Boston from October 9-11, 2023.

The oral presentation, titled “MRI-Compatible Patient-specific Continuum Robots using Parametric Modelling,” showcased promising outcomes in streamlining design and manufacturing processes while allowing customization to align with the patient’s anatomy or clinical requirements. This advancement enhances accuracy and performance during medical interventions.

Arjun was also honored with the BSN Student Travel Award 2023 for participating in the conference.
