Anil Vishnu G.K. successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation on December 12, 2022. His thesis, “Design and Development of a Semi-Automated System for Electro-Thermo-Mechanical (ETM) Phenotyping of Breast Tissues Ex-Vivo,” focused on creating a MEMS-based system for diagnosing breast cancer. This innovative system, developed in collaboration with Assam Medical College, has the potential to revolutionize breast cancer diagnosis.

Dr. Vishnu’s remarkable research has already garnered significant recognition. He has published his work in prestigious journals like Nature Microsystems & Nanoengineering, Journal of Biological Engineering, and IEEE Sensors Journal. He has also presented his research findings at esteemed conferences like the World Biosensors Congress (2020) and IEEE CONECCT (2021). Additionally, his work has led to the filing of one Indian and one international patent application, respectively.

Dr. Vishnu G.K’s dedication to science extends beyond research. He received the prestigious BIRAC-GYTI award in 2020 and the DST-AWSAR award for popular science writing in 2019.
