Apurva Dahake Wins Prestigious Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Award!

Congratulations to Apurva Dahake, a doctoral student in the BEES LAB at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), for winning the Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI) Award 2023! She is one of eleven awardees from across India and the only recipient from IISc.

The GYTI Awards recognize and celebrate innovative student projects that address societal challenges. Apurva’s research focuses on developing and clinically validating a multimodal probe for breast cancer margin assessment. This innovative technology has the potential to significantly improve the accuracy of cancer surgery and reduce recurrence rates.
