• Madhuvanthi Srivatsav R has been awarded the Ph.D. Forum Award at VLSID’24 for her poster presentation on “Processing-in-Interconnect inspired by dendritic Computation.”
  • IC Chip Design Contest Award at VLSID’24 for the project: “ARYABHAT” (Analog Reconfigurable technologY and Bias-scalable Hardware for AI Tasks) by Chetan Singh Thakur, Shantanu Chakrabartty, Pratik Kumar, Ankita Nandi (Presenter), Ayan Saha, and Kurupati Sai Pruthvi Teja. 
  • Design Contest Award at VLSID’24 for the project: “Audio keyword detection using neuromorphic cochlea” with a live demonstration by Ashwin Rajesh (Presenter), Venkata Likhith L (intern from IIITDM Kancheepuram), and Shanmuga Sai Badrinatha Reddy Bana (intern from IIITDM Kancheepuram).
  • The team from the NeuRonICS Lab working on the RAMAN Project was awarded the Runner-Up award for showcasing the demo titled ‘TinyML Acoustic Classification using RAMAN Accelerator and Neuromorphic Cochlea’ as a part of the design contest organized during the IEEE APCCAS Conference 2023. The team was represented by Shankaranarayanan at the conference.
  • Pratik Kumar from the NeuRonICS Lab was awarded Runner-Up in the Student Research Forum contest at the VLSID’23 Conference.

  • NeuRonICS lab is a part of the Centre for Excellence in Quantum Technology at IISc. Research grants in Quantum Technology have been awarded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, and Institute of Eminence funds of IISc.

  • NeuRonICS lab has been awarded the Scheme for Transformational and Advanced Research in Sciences (STARS) grant from MHRD, Gov of India, to build the “Handheld electronic tool for impedance-sensing detection of mercury in water using aptamer templated metal nanoparticles.”

  • NeuRonICS lab has been funded by Ashok Leyland Inc. to carry out research projects in the area of Machine Learning and Edge Computing.
