Project Title: Secure Cross Domain Communication
Location: Network Science Lab, Department of ESE, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore
Essential Skills Required:
– Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in ECE or a related field
– Understanding of communication networks, security protocols, and information theory
Job Specs:
– Understanding information theoretic (physical layer) secrecy and security
– Understanding cryptographic (application layer) security protocols
– Surveying recent approaches on secure cross domain communication
Starting Date: as soon as possible
Duration: 6 months – 1 year

Project Title: Multiaccess Edge Computing over New and Emerging Wireless Networks
Location: Network Science Lab, Department of ESE, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore
Essential Skills Required:
– Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in ECE or a related field
– Understanding of wireless communication and networking protocols
– Basic engineering mathematics
– Programming skills in C++ and/or Matlab
Job Specs:
– Understanding new and emerging (5G, IEEE 802.11ax) Wireless Networks and associated protocols
– Understanding MATLAB and NS3 implementations of protocols, simulating the same
– Surveying recent literature on performance analysis of emerging protocols and edge computing
– Analytical modelling and optimization of protocols (depending on the applicant’s skill-set)
Starting Date: as soon as possible
Duration: 6 months – 2 years
